Scientific Name - Aconitum L. lycoctonum

Synonyms - Aconitum vulparia Rchb.

Distribution and Habitat - originated in Central Europe, submezifile woods, shrubbery, from 300-2100 m altitude.

Description - herbaceous perennial, erect and branched stems at the top, 50-120 cm high. Palmate leaves party; basal leaves long stem, with 5-8 lobes obcuneati-language diamond with deep incisions, leaves caulinare Sesi. Inflorescence panicle, peduncle 1 cm, with pear, flowers zigomorfe, 5 apples in terminal spikes, pale yellow, finely hairy. Blooms in June-August. Fruit follicles. Seeds brown, rough. 2n = 16

Requirements - exhibitions sunny or partially shaded.

Propagation - by splitting machines may be made each fall.

Curiosity - all plants like this are TOXIC!

Specific epithet 'lycoctonum' derives from Greek 'lyco' - wolf and 'chthonos' - land, land of wolves.

In the past, the juice of this plant used to poison meat against wolves and foxes.
