Distribution and Habitat - native to Asia.

Description - annual species, 10-70 cm high. Stems erect, simple or slightly branched. Leaves lanceolate linear subspatulate, acute, the lower gears. Capitule large terminal, 5-7 cm diameter, external scvame foliacee and clocks, the internal membranes. Ligulate flowers white, pink, purple or blue, yellow tubular flowers. Blooms in July-September.

Growth rate - quickly.

Requirements - prefer fertile soil, well drained, sunny and exhibitions.

Propagation - by seeds in spring.

Properties and Uses - species cultivated as ornamental in gardens and parks.
