The first Earth Day was held on April 22, 1970, the United States.

Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin Senate worked, was a senator of the United States for 18 years. Nelson came up with the idea for Earth Day.

Every year on April 22, to discuss issues related to environmental pollution. Specific pollution and habitat destruction many plant and animal species are endangered.

Endangered species are plants and animals whose populations are so small that they can become extinct. Once an animal or plant is gone we will never see again.
