Scientific name - Kohleria Regel

Distribution and Habitat - originally from tropical America, grows on the edge of tropical forests

Description - herbaceous plant or shrub, perennial, 20-150 cm tall. Stem erect or ascending, branched or not, pubescent, glabra to the base. Leaves opposite or vertical every 3, petiolate, lamina ovat-lanceolata, pubescent. Blossom terminal or axillary, with bractei foliage, flowers in axillary solitary or Cime umbele Sesi or pedunculate. Sepa green, free and equal. Corola colored, tubular, erect or oblique, 3-5 times higher than the calyx, hairy outside, 5 unequal petals round. 4 stamens. Capsule ovoid, upper part bivalve top acuminata. Seeds shining, elliptical, ribbed tou reticulate-striated. 2n = 26

Tolerant - do not tolerate frost.

Requirements - substrate well drained (add a little sand), rich in organic matter, exhibitions sunny (but not direct sun) or semiumbra; ͦ temperatures 18-22 C.

Management - is regularly wet, allow to dry land on the surface between watering. The vegetative period is 15 days manages to mix fertilizers with water soaked.
