Scientific name - Melilotus officinalis

Distribution and Habitat - originated in Europe and Asia, grows on pastures, edges of streets, from 0 to 1500 m altitude.

Description - biennial herb, herbaceous, 50-150 cm, root fistulosa. Leaves alternate, petiolate, trifoliate, leaflets elliptical-oblong, 10-25 mm, Irregular gear. Inflorescence raceme, 4-10 cm, pedunculate, 30-70 pendulums flowers, fragrant. Campanula calyx, half of the corolla, 5 linear teeth unequal. Zigomorfa corolla 4-7 mm, yellow, wings and veziliu equal but longer than the hull. Blooms in May-August. Apiculata pendula and fruit pod, 2.5 - 3.5 mm, glabra, light brown at maturity, ovoid contains 1-2 seeds.

Places of the Buddhast seen species - a common grazing Sandra, Timis County (RO).
