Popular names for Parthenocissus quinquefolia: English - Virginia creeper. The first description of this species was made by Jacques Philippe, published in Canadensium plantarum, in 1635. Parthenocissus quinquefolia crawler is a shrub, 12-15 m high. A native of North America, Mexico and Cuba in the Carpathian area is cultivated as ornamental shrub for covering walls. Ritidom strains that exfoliating in strips; young stems are brown, furry glabrata or less, old stems have aerial roots. Buds are grouped in a 2 each node, tapered, blunt, sessile.
