Scientific name - Rubus idaeus L. Synonyms - Popular names - Raspberry, Malina, mountain bush, framboisier, Raspberry, Himbeere, frambola, lampone. Distribution and Habitat - native to Europe, grows in bushes, forest edge, the side streets in association with Calluna vulgaris, Cornus sanguinea, Coryllus avellana, Crataegus monogyna, Cytisus scoparius, Prunus spinosa, Rosa canina from plain to 1900 m altitude; Description - small shrub, about 1 m height. Branches long, unbranched, covered with small thorns. Green bark in the first year, next year is brown. Leaves composed of 3-7 leaflets, ovate lanceolate, acute, 8 inches long, double-toothed margin, dark green on top and glabra, on the underside is whitish and Vilo, petiole pubescent. Flowers appear after leaf, hermaphrodite, gathered in loose clusters, 5 white petals verzde, stamensnumerous. Blooms in May-August. Polidrupa fruit, bright red to dark red, edible, sweet.
