Scientific name - Salvia glutinosa L.

Salvia glutinosa was described by Linnaeus in 1753.

Synonyms - sclarea glutinosa (L.) Mill.

Distribution and Habitat - originating in mountain areas of Europe and Asia, grows in deciduous forests, in shady places, up to 1700 m altitude.

Description - herbaceous perennial. Stem simple or branched, erect, pubescent to the base, toward the top glutinoasa, 50-100 cm tall. Leaves ovat, heart or Hasta la base edge crenata or evening, pubescent, long-petiolate. Blossom ear,vertical of 2-6 flowers. Calyx tubular-campanulata, 12-17 mm, rigid, with glandular hairs. Corola consonant, 30-40 mm, tube, yellow with red-brown spots. Blooms in June-August. Seeds obovata-elliptic, the dorsal conveza with 3-4 longitudinal veins, 3-3.4 x 2-2.2 mm, surface wrinkled, brown. 2n = 16.

Tolerances - ͦ temperatures to -18 C.

Propagation - by seeds. It resembles in March-April under glass. Transplanteaza when they Plantulele be 4.6 true leaves.
